North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) continues to operate the Parks Creek Backflood Control structure, located at Eva Wardlaw Conservation Area at the mouth of the Parks Creek on Lake Nipissing near Lakeshore Drive and Marshall Avenue in North Bay.

“Four extra pumps are being placed at the dam to help increase capacity and be prepared the best that we can for the upcoming storm that starts this Saturday” says Chitra Gowda, NBMCA CAO and Flood Warning Coordinator. “Depending on the weather conditions, water levels in Lake Nipissing and Parks Creek may increase,” said Ms. Gowda.
